Iyengar Yoga Intensive, with Jennifer
Join Jennifer for a 4-day Iyengar Yoga intensive this Easter to deepen your exploration of yoga.
Designed for dedicated practitioners with an established Sarvangasana and Sirsasana practice, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to deconstruct and delve into more advanced asanas. Explore with curiosity, strengthen your foundation, and connect with like-minded practitioners at a special location in the Glebe. You're also invited to wrap up the experience by joining an optional vegetarian brunch on the final day (extra cost) to nourish both body and community. |
Relieving Headache, with Barbara
Headaches have many causes, including eye strain, fatigue, stress, posture and hormones. Relief can be found through learning to identify, spread and release areas that commonly grip and contract, contributing to pain. Often, tension is deeply settled into the neck, shoulders and senses, so our practice will focus on freeing these areas.
Barbara has experienced occasional ocular migraines and stress headaches over the years, so comes to this practice with personal experience. The workshop is for students with a minimum one year of Iyengar yoga classes. |
Create A Home Practise, with Barbara
Home Practice – The Joys!
- More sustained physical, mental and emotional well-being - Increased energy to support you in living well - Better sleep and a more settled response to life’s challenges Home Practice – The Challenges - Worldly responsibilities competing for time - Doubt about what, how and where to practice - Lack of motivation and inspiration This workshop is for Iyengar yoga students who have basic props at home. It will provide an opportunity to brainstorm with other students, seek home practice advice from the teacher, and share practice resources. Workshop includes a practice, so come dressed for yoga! |
“I sometimes tell my students that the practice they do in class is not, strictly speaking, yoga practice… In a class, although you are “doing” and hopefully learning, you are subordinate to the teacher. At home, it is your own intelligence that is the master, and the progress you make is yours, and will be maintained.” BKS Iyengar
